Louis Vuitton's alligator skin handbag costs $55,000, according to Harper's Bazaar. This is more expensive than a brand new car or a cruise around the world. The bag, of course, caters to uber-wealthy customers as most people will just drool over its hefty price tag.
The crocodile-skin nude-colored City Streamer satchel has an engraved padlock and name tag. It can be easily carried in hand, over the shoulder or cross-body. The inside of the bag provides plenty of space for papers and files.
Though Hermes with its Birkin design of alligator and crocodile versions are still the most expensive bags out there, Louis Vuitton's City Streamer has a lot to offer when it comes to design and relative affordability. On the other hand, Hermes Birkin's bags are priced at $100,000 at the minimum.
Several other designers are also selling five figures bags, although it is hard to say how many of these bags were sold, as reported by Mail Online.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen also made its debut with their crocodile backpack for The Row, which costs $39,000. Valentino's Tricolor Crocodile Satchel Bag has a $30,045 price tag.
Bags made by Hermes, Louis Vuitton, The Row, Fendi, and other well-known luxury bags, especially those made of crocodile skins, are always expensive since getting the perfect crocodile skin is challenging. The use of these skins is controversial. However, exotic skins, such as crocodile and alligator skins, can sell 30 times more than leather pieces.
