EXO member Chen took to the EXO-L's official website on July 19 to say that he is no longer accepting gifts given to him by his fans.
The sudden decision of Chen came with a lengthy explanation as the entry of the band members in the website was dedicated for his reason behind announcing that gifts are no longer accepted by him. He started by saying, "Are our EXO-Ls spending a nice summer? I'm well and I've been preparing for the concert with the EXO members."
He then went on to say that he has so many things to be thankful for especially the fans of EXO as they always cheer the group, lend them strength and remember their birthdays and anniversaries. From that message, she went on to say that he would like to get something out of his chest directed to the fans, All KPop reported.
Chen noted that he thinks it will be enough to accept the hearts EXO fans in a figurative way. He noted that he is aware fans could be disappointed with his decision but he said that he just started to feel sorry about accepting gifts from the fans.
He added that he wants to show everyone that he is making good use of all the presents that are sent to him but he revealed that it is not that easy to do. He also believes that some fans think he likes someone else's gift better and not the other if he fails to show that he uses the gifts sent to him.
Chen also said that he knows the gifts sent to him hold a special meaning and he is very thankful for all the presents given to him in the past.
He concluded his statement with saying that he feels EXO fans' hearts while he is on stage and that he can feel their voices when the fans cheer on them. He pleaded, "So please don't feel dejected or hurt and please continue to be a lovable fan," Soompi reported.
EXO is set to hold their third solo concert at the Olympic Park Stadium this July 22-24.
