"The Flash" Season 3 is still months away from hitting our small screens. But with the recent flow of developments about the new season, it is not that hard to get fresh intel about the upcoming storylines "The Flash" will tackle in the new bunch of episodes.
In case you missed, "The Flash" will open its third season with the buzzy Flashpoint arc - a story that is deeply connected to Season 2's finale where Barry made a rash decision to go back in time and save his mother.
This intel has been confirmed by "The Flash" star Grant Gustin last month on Twitter. Gustin's tweet was such a huge spoiler that executive producer Greg Berlanti needed to give him the go signal to reveal the Season 3 premiere's title.
FLASHPOINT. This is not drill. https://t.co/nzq2NJh9pl

New and familiar faces will also board "The Flash" Season 3. Recent casting news announced that John Wesley Shipp and Violett Beane will return next season as Henry Allen/Jay Garrick and Jesse Wells, respectively. Harry Potter actor Tom Felton, meanwhile, will join the show as a series regular - playing the role of a fellow CSI at the Central Police Dept.
Aside from the Flashpoint arc, "The Flash" Season 3 is also set to deal with Kid Flash aka the alter ego of Wally West. A first look photo of West in his yellow suit costume has been released by the CW to tease the fans' appetite.
Additionally, the cast and crew of "The Flash" have already started production for Season 3. In the past weeks, photos from the set have started to emerge online and through social media where Grant Gustin and other "The Flash" stars are seen shooting.
"The Flash" Season 3 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8PM on the CW.
