South Korean internet company Kakao just announced that "Twenty-Three" singer IU has been appointed as the new model to promote its Kakao Game.
Early June, the gaming company released a splash video clip of the game that showed IU as the main character promoting the brand's official model. She will be modeling Kakao's latest game called "Come over to my home for Kakao," which will be released in August.
According to Allkpop, IU has a special youthful aura and happiness that made her a good match for the "Kakao Game." This made the company decide to have her as their game's spokes model.
Currently, Kakao Game topped as the most popular mobile gaming platform in Korea. After its launch in July 2012, it now offers more than 600 games with various genres, Kakao Blog reported.
To those who are not aware, the South Korean singer-songwriter-actress has also been an ambassador of anti-bullying campaigns in schools, in collaboration with South Korea's National Police Agency. She was an honorary member of the police force in 2013 prior being appointed to a honorary senior police officer in 2014 for a two-year term.
As one of the best-selling in demand solo artists in the K-pop industry, IU was listed as number three on Forbes magazine's annual Korea Power Celebrity 40 listing since 2012. Billboard acknowledged her as the all-time leader of Korea K-Pop Hot 100 chart with the most number-one songs and as the artist who has held the number-one spot for how many weeks. Here is the video showing IU's recording session as the new voice for Kakao Game.
