"Bates Motel" Season 5 will feature Rihanna on their final season, introducing recreated scenes from the 1960's movie "Psycho." The "Bates Motel" crew also announced during the Comic Con 2016 that they will end the A&E drama with the upcoming Season 5.
Previously, the "Work" singer expressed that the series is one of her favorite shows. The producers, upon hearing the compliment, decided to cast her for "Bates Motel" Season 5. The executive producer of the show even tweeted a short teaser to officially announce Rihanna's role.
The "Bates Motel" Season 5 production will have her play Marion Crane, a character from Alfred's Hitchcock's "Psycho." From "Bates Motel" Season 4 ending, the transition towards the upcoming season will reportedly be smooth, serving Rihanna as the main event to be watched on Season 5.
Meanwhile, the series' executive producer, Carlton Cuse, previously stated in May that "Bates Motel" Season 5 will be their own version of the "Psycho." While the executive producer has revealed that it will be inspired by the 1960 movie, he was quick to add that a few mash-up scenes from other past movies and TV series will be recreated to keep fans pumped-up until the end, TVLine reported. "Bates Motel" Season 5 will also add their known pivotal twists in the series.
The upcoming season's episodes will reportedly be directed by the cast members Nestor Carbonell, Freddie Highmore and Max Thieriot as their way of saying farewell to fans. According to Variety, "Bates Motel" Season 5 promises to fill in missing information from other seasons. The upcoming season also aims to let fans know that there is no better way to end it than with the famous scene of Crane in the shower.
