BIGBANG member G-Dragon has been confirmed to appear on the special episodes of television entertainment program "Infinite Challenge" after it was revealed on Monday that the South Korean rapper has started filming for the "Muhan Company" episodes.
"Muhan Company," which started in 2011, is an occasional segment of "Infinite Challenge" that is scripted. For this segment, cast members will have to play as employees of the fictional company. According to Soompi, the upcoming "Muhan Company" is written and directed by couple Kim Eun Hee and Jang Hang Joon.
This is not the first time G-Dragon appeared on the special episodes of "Infinite Challenge." In 2012, the BIGBANG member played as the son of the company's chairman and pretended to be a new employee.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon will be joined by "Signal" stars Kim Hye Soo and Lee Je Hoon on the upcoming "Muhan Company." A source told Korea Joongang Daily that the show wants the cast members to contribute something to make the story even better. "Although it is an entertainment show, everyone [including the invited celebrities] will play big enough roles to pose impact on the story," the source said.
Since it started in 2005, MBC's "Infinite Challenge" is considered one of the most favorite variety programs in South Korea, hence it was branded as the "nation's variety show" and "Korea's real first variety."
Aside from "Muhan Company," the entertainment program also has other occasional segments which include "Muhan News," "Ha & Soo" and "Hidden Camera." These four segments are part of "Infinite Challenge" which are being featured irregularly.
Although "Muhan Company" will not start until Aug. 7, some of its scenes will be broadcasted in the last week of July.
