ZE:A member Kim Tae Heon says goodbye to civilian life as he announced his plans to serve his mandatory military service on Dec. 7. The singer wants to join the military quietly and does not want to have any farewell party for him.
A representative from Star Empire Entertainment confirmed the K-Pop star's plans. Although Taeheon will leave, he does not want to leave his fans without giving them a proper farewell, according to BNT News.
The K-Pop singer wants to say goodbye to his fans properly through Naver V-app on Dec. 5. Since the program will be his last, there is a high expectation from fans about the outcome of the broadcast.
"We readily accepted Kim Tae Heon's suggestion since he wanted to say goodbye to the fans directly," a Star Empire representative said. "Please support Kim Tae Heon who cares about his fans until the last for his army life." The singer's agency also said that Tae Heon does not want to be given any special treatment during his enlistment, which is why he enlisted discreetly.
The 26-year-old singer is the second member of the group to join the military. ZE:A member Ha Minwoo is now an active duty soldier since Sept. 15 and will also serve the military for 21 months.
Tae Heon also gave his fans a farewell letter that indicates his reasons for his decision to join the army and his happiness and fulfillment because of his group, ZE:A.
"For the past six years, many things have happened. I have had a happy time because ZE:A Style was together with me all the time," Tae Heon wrote to his fans. "I will return well... Lastly, dear ZE:A Style, thank you very much for always having given me the strength to carry on. I love you all."
