Drug Restaurant shots down allegations involving them into an alleged music plagiarism relating to their song entitled "Mistake," which was released in May. The Korean band has finally spoken up regarding the issue after Two Door Cinema Club said their piece.

On Wednesday, the Irish indie rock band, in a Tweet, posted the video of Drug Restaurant's "Mistake" and wrote, "Nice to see we've inspired someone." Although there are followers who disagree with what the band said, several fans have also expressed the same sentiment with Two Door Cinema Club saying that the song was a copy.

The song “Mistake” allegedly sounds like Two Door Cinema Club’s “Someday.” Some followers also noted that the intro of the two songs almost sounds the same, adding that Drug Restaurant allegedly copied the guitar riffs of “Someday” and “What You Know” and integrated them into their single, as per Soompi.

Despite circulating rumors, the Korean band denied they have committed music plagiarism for their song “Mistake”; however, Drug Restaurant admitted Two Door Cinema Club has somehow influenced their music.

“The overall planning and vision of the song was done by member Jo Dae Min, who really respects Two Door Cinema Club, so the sound does have their influence, but it is not plagiarism,” Drug Restaurant said.

Drug Restaurant, formerly known as Jung Joon Young Band (JJY Band) made their comeback with the band’s new name and new single “Mistake” just recently. The Korean band released a teaser of their song by the end of May and broadcasted the full music video on June 7.

The Korean band is composed of Jung Joon Young (vocals), Jo Dae Min (guitar), Jung Seok Won (bass guitar) and Lee Hyun Gyu (drums). Drug Restaurant was formed in 2014 following Jung’s debut as a solo artist in 2013. Currently, the band has released two albums namely, “Escape To Hangover” and “Mistake.”
