Fan-favorite Stiles Stilinski, portrayed by actor Dylan O'Brien, will be back on screen when MTV's "Teen Wolf" Season 6 airs in November. However, the release date of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" might be delayed due to O'Brien's injury.
This will be the last time that O'Brien will be reprising his famous character, as the show is coming to an end with "Teen Wolf" Season 6. Season 6 will have 20 episodes altogether and the 100 episode mark will serve as the series finale, Entertainment Tonight reported.
Earlier, during the San Diego Comic-Con panel discussion, Tyler Posey and creator Jeff Davis announced that the curtains would be coming down on "Teen Wolf" with the next season. Talking about the upcoming finale season at the expo, Davis said that it is a bittersweet experience as they are sad about the show ending, but they are also happy to have been able to come to the event to share the news with the fans.
Posey also expressed his gratitude and thanked the fans. He said that the ending of "Teen Wolf" is the ending of a huge era for him because he cares a lot about the show and wants to be its leader.
As for O'Brien, he was nowhere to be seen at the event as he is still recuperating from his injury. It has also come to light that his movie "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" might face a delay on account of his injury.
O'Brien sustained injury while filming for the movie, and now with his recovery time being prolong, the release of the movie may be delayed beyond the scheduled date of Jan. 12, 2018, Movie News Guide reported.
What lends credence to the news are Davis' comments. He had said that O'Brien is at home, recovering.
It is worth mentioning here that O'Brien met with the serious accident in March, leading to severe injuries. Shadows were also cast on his return as Stiles in "Teen Wolf," but he is coming back to the show. He had already filmed some of his scenes for the MTV drama prior to the accident.
