"No Man's Sky," which is due to be released on 12 August has been leaked online. The much-anticipated space exploration game has been reportedly sold online and now spoilers are available, which has led creator Sean Murray to issue a statement, asking fans to avoid the spoilers.

A member of Reddit, named Daymeeuhn, claims to have purchased "No Man's Sky" for $1,250 from an online auction website, BBC reported. He has also posted a series of in-game footage videos, which has created a massive buzz among the players. Many are flocking online to watch the leaked footage.

However, Hello Games' Sean Murray has requested fans to keep away from these spoilers. In his Twitter post, Murray requested fans not to spoil the fun for themselves. He said that the developing team has spent years filling "No Man's Sky" with surprises and fans have also spent years waiting. Explaining further, he asked fans to take a break from reading the spoilers and concluded by saying that fans could experience it for themselves pretty soon.

Sadly, it did not happen. To add to the injury, a few fans also began claiming that the game can be completed within 30 hours. Now, this is in stark contrast to what the developers have asserted. According to them, it could take hundreds of hours to win the game.

Nevertheless, relief came finally as the Reddit user removed all the footage he had uploaded, GameNGuide reported. Looks like Murray's request worked. Notably, the game requires players to start from the edge of a universe that is inhabited by 18.4 quintillion planets. The goal is to reach the center of the cosmos, which carries a secret.

All this makes it quite difficult to win and Murray had also said in an interview, earlier this year that the game is time-taking and it has been made so intentionally. The idea is to make players feel insignificant and vulnerable so that they can feel that they are a tiny part of the universe.

Sadly, now that the spoilers have come out, players know a thing or two about the game. We just hope the fun is not spoilt for them.
