Fans of author J.K. Rowling's wizarding world are undoubtedly anticipating the upcoming worldwide release of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find to Them," but even before the film hits theaters, there's already talk of the sequel and what it will offer.

According to Variety, the yet-untitled second film in the trilogy was confirmed by movie company Warner Bros. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, and that it "moves deeper into an increasingly dark time for the wizarding world, where Newt and our other heroes have to decide on their allegiances."

Also, Reuters reported that there will be "much more on the horizon" in the Harry Potter franchise.

"There is a mention of some characters that we know and love from previous movies, but we only talk about them fleetingly," director David Yates previously told Reuters. "In the next movie, part two, we'll get to meet one of them in a significant way. He's much younger than he used to be, but he'll be coming back."

Yates will return to the director's chair in the second "Fantastic Beasts" movie and Rowling will once again write the screenplay. The director said that he appreciates not having to make a film based on a novel because adaptations usually require having to cut out some scenes.

He said, "When we adapted the books, we'd always have to leave out things you hated leaving out because they didn't quite work in the structure of the storytelling for the movie."

The first film in the trilogy will be released worldwide on Nov. 18. It stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, a magizoologist and the author of one of the textbooks used in Hogwarts; Katherine Waterston as Porpentina "Tina" Goldstein, a witch working at the Magical Congress of the United States of America; Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Tina's younger sister; Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, a No-Maj factory worker; and Colin Farrell as Percival Graves, an Auror who is looking for Newt.

It remains to be seen who among those characters will return in the sequel, and also which of the people in "Harry Potter" will appear as a younger person. Fans will find out before the second movie is shown in November 2018. The third installment is scheduled for November 2020, and Yates and Rowling reportedly have ideas for it already.
