"Thor: Ragnarok" is touted to have Marvel Studios' darkest script yet, Birth Movies Death reported. However, Ruffalo said that he had a "great good fun time" making the movie.
Ruffalo is set to reprise his role as Dr. Bruce Banner aka "The Hulk" who was last seen aboard a spaceship in the last scene of the "Avengers: Age of Ultron." With Chris Hemsworth at the titular role of "Thor," their characters will embark on a cosmic adventure to save Asgard from impending apocalypse.
Along the way, Thor and The Hulk will meet Valkyries that may launch a new Marvel superheroine. Marvel booked actress Tessa Thompson to embody the role, Comic Book Resources reported. For the non-traditional casting choice, director Waika Waititi said that the backlash in diversifying characters in Hollywood is less important than whether the actor nailed the role. In this case, he said that Thompson is fits perfectly to the role.
Thompson joins the impressive ensemble with Karl Urban as Skurge, Cate Blanchett as Hela the Goddess of Death and Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster. Old-times Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin as also set to appear.
"Thor: Ragnarok" is set to open in theaters on November 2, 2017.
