Go Eunbi, a member of the popular Korean girl group Ladies' Code, was killed while two other members are in critical condition when the van they boarded in crashed into a wall on the Yeondong Expressway in South Korea.

Two other members of the group - Lee Sojung, 20, and Kwon Risae, 23 - are currently being observed for critical injuries inside the St. Vincent's Hospital.

Four other passengers were injured and rushed to the hospital but were declared out of danger.

Eunbi and the other members of Ladies' Code were onboard the group's van from a performance when the slippery road caused the van's wheel to skid.

The driver reportedly lost control and the vehicle went straight to the concrete wall at high speed. Eunbi died on the spot, the police said.

It was not known yet where the vehicle was heading but the police said the accident happened at 1:20 am on the Yeondong Expressway in South Korea.

The conditions of the two other members have not been disclosed as of this posting but an insider said doctors were closely monitoring the two.

It was in 2013 when Ladies' Code debuted in South Korea. It didn't take long for the group to become one of the country's most successful K-pop groups, especially when their songs "Bad Girl" and "Pretty Pretty" went up the hit charts.

The group's success is partly due to the members' powerful vocals. Two group members have previously starred on South Korea's reality TV singing competition.

During the same year that it debuted, Ladies' Code was awarded New Artist of the Year at the Gaon Chart Awards, which is the country's equivalent of the prestigious Billboard Music Awards.
