"The Originals" Season 4 will kick start with a five year time jump. Fans can expect to see Summer Fontana portraying the role of an older Hope Michaelson. The 7-year old daughter of Klaus, played by Joseph Morgan, will grow up to be curious about her father. Despite being the youngest, she is said to be the most dangerous of all the Michaelson's having acquired her father's temperament.
Fans could recall that during the previous season of "The Originals," Klaus was trapped in a spell that linked him to all the Michaelson siblings. It was the only way to rescue them all from the werewolf bite of Marcel, played by Charles Michael Davis. This means that Klaus has lost five years with his daughter, and Hope grew up without knowing him. During the near end of the trailer released during the San Diego Comic Con, little Hope asked her mother Hayley, played by Phoebe Tonking, if they were going to save her father.
Tonkin said via TV Line that she was excited to discover what type of personality the little girl would have. She thinks that she has a lot of Klaus in her and teased that she was a very powerful little witch and could be the most dangerous Michaelson member. There has been speculations that the five year time jump in "The Originals" Season 4 was to highlight Hope's powers because she would be the key to releasing Klaus from his curse.
Meanwhile, fans also anticipate if Hayley and Elijah's love story can survive in the upcoming season. The wait could be long since Fansided reported that "The Originals" Season 4 will not be returning to CW until midseason.
