WrestleMania 33 is a must-watch event as two giants will face each other in the ring for the first time. The Big Show confirmed on Friday the match he will have with Shaquille "Kazaam" O'Neal on April 2, 2017.
It is not the first time that O'Neal will enter the ring to wrestle. During the "Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal," he teamed up with "The Big Show" in an attempt to chokeslam Kane. However, they got defeated by a number of wrestlers, according to GameSpot.
The NBA legend accepted WWE's Big Show's challenge to square off in the ring. This time, it would not be a tag team anymore, but a match against each other. O'Neal asked Wight, "You sure you want to do that?" wherein Wight responded "Sure! I don't have much time left; I'd rather have some fun with you."
Aside from being a seven-time world heavyweight champion, Wight aka "The Big Show." is also an 11-time tag team WWE titleholder. He has plans of retiring in the coming years and about in a year and a half, he will leave the career of 21 years that started his debut as "The Giant" in WCW, CBS reported.
Wight started his career in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) with the ring name of "The Giant." His career does not end up in wrestling only because he also starred in movies and TV series. Among these are "Star Trek: Enterprise" and "The Waterboy" to name a few. He got his first lead role as a comedian in the "Knucklehead" movie with WWE Studios as the producer.
Shaq, on the other hand, is one of the heaviest NBA players. During his 19 years of playing basketball in NBA, he had already played for six teams. Aside from a successful career in basketball, the resigned 7 ft. 1 in tall NBA star also starred in several films like "Kazaam" and own reality shows such as Shaq's Big Challenge.
The match between the two titans is going to be a big show that the whole world is expecting. May the best giant wins.
