"The Walking Dead" co-creator Robert Kirkman promised fans of the franchise that there will be no major cliffhanger in Season 7. On the other hand, Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan appears not very happy about who he killed in the Season 6 nail-biter.
The show received backlash from fans with the ending of "The Walking Dead" Season 6 when Negan's victim was not revealed. To make up for the fans who felt that they were cheated, Kirkman said that the team took note of the negative reactions in the previous season.
"Look, I think as a creative person I have to acknowledge that all responses are valid, so I definitely have to take note that there's a seemingly significant portion of the audience that wasn't happy with that direction, so in that respect I think everyone on The Walking Dead creative team has taken note of that, and I don't know that I would expect a similar cliffhanger at the end of season 7," Kirkman told Entertainment Weekly.
"The Walking Dead" executive producer Greg Nicotero also promised that the show will pick up straight from the events of the Season 6 finale.
"Yes, who was at the receiving end of Negan's bat will be revealed in the first episode," he said.
In "The Walking Dead" Season 7, the faceless victim of Negan will finally be revealed. The least likely victim of the attack are Rick (played by Andrew Lincoln) and Carl (played by Chandler Riggs), TV Line reported. Other characters who were ruled out to be safe are Maggie and Abraham.
Meanwhile, Josh McDermitt who plays Eugene uploaded a photo on Instagram showing that the backside of Norman Reedus' Daryl Dixon with a wound.
