The 23-year-old member of the famous Korean Pop Group Wonder Girls, Hyerim, will interview Hollywood actor and producer Leonardo DiCaprio later this month in Los Angeles.
The singer will be a guest reporter on KBS2 for the "Entertainment Weekly" and will be interviewing the star of his upcoming movie "The Revenant," according to Korean Times. The film which will premiere next month is a biographical survival thriller based on Michael Punke's novel.
Though a Korean, her career started in China performing in numerous variety shows, dancing and singing to showcase her talents to Chinese audiences with her original band "JYP Sisters."
Before officially making a debut, two of their members withdrew from the group leaving Hyerim and two of her bandmates. Hyerim debuted last 2010 with Wonder Girls under JYP Entertainment after one member, Sunmi, ended her career in the music industry.
Although a member of Wonder Girls, Hyerim still keeps in touch with the JYP Sisters who recently debuted as a four- member group under the name "Miss A." After the band went hiatus last 2013, they made a comeback last July 2015 with only four members including Hyerim.
"Lim, who was born in Hong Kong has English skills like no other," represenative from "Entertainment Weekly" said during an interview as reported by KPop Starz. Hyerim also thinks that this opportunity to interview the Hollywood star is an honor and she is more than willing to do it although it's her first time.
She flew to LA last Dec. 3 together with "Entertainment Weekly" and will be staying for four days. The interview will occur on Dec. 16.
