The release of new "Dark Souls 3" is threatened to be postponed due to its creator's focus on other projects.
In an interview with Kotaku, the game's creator Hidetaka Miyazaki expressly said that he is busy doing multiple projects other than the "Dark Souls 3." He mentioned that the game he is working on builds off from other titles, but it features different area, gear, story, and enemies. He further said that this will have a different mode than the "Dark Souls 3," but did not say anything as to which of the two games is better and more exciting.
Currently, reports suggest that the promised "Dark Souls 3" DLC can be expected to come out on the first quarter of 2017. If that is the case, fans expect that they will be able to produce additional story arcs, players, and other upgrades.
Accordingly, it is more favorable for FromSoftware, the main developer of "Dark Souls 3," as they are yet brainstorming on the fitting ending for the game. Based on recent reports, Miyazaki has already considered four possible endings, but he is yet racking an all-catching ending that will cover the whole title. Developers and producers are said to be having careful considerations of the ending as it is a crucial part of the game
Meanwhile, Gamescom announced that it will be holding an event on Aug. 17-Aug. 21 where "Dark Souls 3" is expected to appear, just as it did in 2015. Other games that are already included in the list are "Tekken 7" and "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2."
