It is definitely sad news for Charlie Hunnam's fans as he will not be returning to play his character Jax Teller in "Sons of Anarchy" prequel/ spin-off. In addition, the actor is not going to return in "Pacific Rim 2: Kaiju Boogaloo." He played the incredibly iconic character of Raleigh Becket in "Pacific Rim" movie.
The actor recently spoke to MTV News at the Comic Con in San Diego about his upcoming projects and why wouldn't he be a part of "Sons of Anarchy" prequel or possible spin-off and "Pacific Rim 2." He made some revelations while speaking to the media saying that he has problems pertaining to schedules, which are not making it feasible for him to return.
This is going to disappoint many fans, as it directly implies that they would not be able to see the actor's work as well as his fabulously unclothed torso in the sequel. His exposed scenes from "Sons of Anarchy" had made waves earlier and kept many fans glued to the television screens.
In "Pacific Rim 2," with the departure Hunnam, Becket will not be seen following many adventures with Mako Mori, portrayed by Rinko Kikuchi. So, the rumors are that there will be less chances of reprising the character of Kikuchi as well.
Hunnam, who was proactively involved in "Pacific Rim" had scheduling issues with the new Chinese partners of the movie. He will not be able to make his return despite the fact that the sequel involved his character's return.
There are speculations that he might be able to clear a few days from his schedule for a limited role perhaps. The producer Guillermo del Toro is making claims time and again about the return of most of the characters. The circumstances do not appear so with Hunnam at the moment, as per his interview during the Comic Con past weekend.
In addition, the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel will be showing the mythology of Jax's father, focusing on his life that opened with the motorcycle club as the first chapter, Nerdcore Movement reported.
