Academy Award winning actress, Nicole Kidman, is willing to star in a Bollywood film sometime in the future. The Australian beauty attended the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit this year and spoke about why India has to keep making its own movies.
Counselage India managing partner, Suhel Seth, joined the actress on stage to talk about the differences between Hollywood and Bollywood films. Reading questions from cue cards, Seth asked Kidman if the film industry in South Asia is close to achieving Hollywood-level of fame in the international platform.
Kidman answered, "do you want to?" The Hollywood star explained that it is important for every country to maintain their identity and to continue making films that are true to every culture. Her answer received a loud applause from the audience.
Seth also asked the award-winning actress if she would be open to making Bollywood films in the future. Kidman promptly and happily replied that she is "open to adventure" and even joked about kissing a flower to bear another child. Watch her full interview at HindustaniTimes.com.
Kidman will next be seen starring alongside Academy award nominee Reese Witherspoon and Divergent actress Shailene Woodly in an upcoming HBO Original series. The "suburbian noir" drama titled "Big Little Lies," according to Entertainment Weekly, and will be set in a small town in Australia.
The actress best known for her role in "Moulin Rouge" will be the executive producer of the limited series which will follow the story of three mothers involved in a murder case. Witherspoon will also be producing the show with David E. Kelley as the writer.
