Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan is under consideration for the antagonist's role in Deepika Padukone's next movie "Padmavati."
"Padmavati" director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who initially planned to cast Padukone's rumored boyfriend Ranveer Singh for the role of Delhi Sultanate ruler Alauddin Khilji, has reportedly offered the Khilji' role to "Mohenjo Daro" actor Hrithik Roshan, India Today reported.
Bhansali is said to be miffed with Singh for demanding script of the movie. Earlier there were speculations that superstar Shahrukh Khan had been approached to play Khilhi's role.
"Ranveer made the grave mistake of asking Bhansali for a narration. The director feels that the actor owes him his success, and is not in the position to question his judgment," a source told DNA India newspaper.
"Like Shah Rukh Khan doesn't ask for a narration from Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra, and Salman with Sooraj Barjatya, SLB felt that the actor should have come on board without hearing the script."
Deepika Padukone will essay the role of Rani Padmavati, while, actor Shahid Kapoor will play male lead in the period romance drama. The 30-year-old actress, who is reportedly getting a whopping eleven crore rupees for the movie, was last seen in Bhansali's super-hit period romance drama "Bajirao Mastani" opposite her rumored boyfriend Ranveer Singh.
The "Piku" actress is making her Hollywood debut in Vin Diesel' "XxX: Return of Xander Cage" in which she will be seen together with Hollywood stars like Nina Dobrev, Samuel L Jackson and Ruby Rose.
