Before the Force awakens this December, fans can now keep in touch with their favorite "Star Wars" characters with the help of Star Wares. "Star Wars" themed goods are now available on stores.
Disney, which bought Lucasfilm in 2012, has expanded the universe of the merchandise by producing items inclusive to everyone - from foot wears to earrings, gadgets, games and everyday utensils.
As posted in THE STRAITS TIMES, here is a list of some unusual Star Wares which you can buy from stores near you or online:
1. Advent Calendar - a perfect pre-Christmas gift for the Star Wars fan. This special calendar, which can be used to count or celebrate the days in anticipation of Christmas contains 24 pieces of milk chocolate, each weighing 2.5g and resembling "Star Wars" characters such as Darth Vader and Stormtroopers.
2. Pewter Mugs - feature Darth Vader and C-3PO and priced at $190 each, these 11cm-tall mugs are part of a pewter collection by Royal Selangor and are excellent for "Star Wars" drinking games during marathon viewings.
3. High-heeled shoes - United Kingdom shoe brand Irregular Choice is no stranger to out-of-this-world designs, but its Star Wars Collection takes it to a new level. This pair of heels is propped up by R2-D2.
4. Chess set - "Star Wars" chess game made by Hasbro. Complete with characters from Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance.
5. Chopsticks - speak of utensils, made by Singapore toy retailer Simple Toys, they are lightsabers.
6. Laptop - made by HP, inspired by the Galactic Empire, this laptop has a red backlit keyboard, Stormtroopers on the keyboard deck and a touchpad design that mirrors the X-Wing Star Fighter Guidance System, among other features.
7. Luggage - it is 51cm long, has four wheels and a retractable handle and features Kylo Ren, the main villain in the upcoming movie.
8. Paper plates - eat some menacing meals on this 18cm-wide disposable dessert plate featuring the Inquisitor (centre) surrounded by four Stormtroopers.
9. Boxers - for kids who wants to be in the Jedi order.
10. Airplane - the "Star Wars" - themed All Nippon Airways aeroplane, painted to look like R2-D2, was at Changi Airport last month.
