Filipina actress Heart Evangelista will be launching her "Carry Your HeART" exhibit on Sept 3, which will feature her very own hand-painted designer bag collection. The actress reveals that she has several art projects in the line-up. Though she is busy with her art, she said she has not forgotten about acting but does plan to slow things down by taking on one soap a year.
Evangelista, wife of senator turned vice-president candidate Francis "Chiz" Escudero has finally decided to share her collection of hand-painted designer bags to the public. "Carry Your HeART" exhibit will feature forty of her unique hand-painted designs. According to Rappler, the actress shared that her inspiration for painting bags resulted from an accident. She was looking for a way to repair her Hermes bag, which she unintentionally stained, and saw a photo of Kim Kardashian's hand-painted bag. She then decided to create her own after finally discovering the right paint to use.
Prior to launching the "Carry Your HeART" exhibit, Evangelista has launched her own line of lip products, collaborating with the local make-up brand "Happy Skin." She also collaborated with the designer Mark Bumgarner on hand-painted dresses and did and illustrated a cover of Rocio Olbes' children's book, "Daughter of the Sun and the Moon." She has also held painting exhibits in Ayala Museum and Chan Hampe Galleries in Singapore.
Evangelista also hinted that after "Carry Your HeART," she is preparing to launch a perfume line with her artworks in the bottle. She has a lot of ideas in her mind but said that she was pacing herself so as not to get too excited. The actress shared via CNN Philippines that art was very therapeutic for her, and was her mean for expression. Her fashion style, where she prefers wearing black, white and nude, is more restrained as compared to her artworks which she blasts with vibrant colors.
Despite being busy for the preparations for "Carry Your HeART," Evangelista is also taping for her soap "Juan Happy Love Story." She said that her artworks will not let her forget her first love which is acting.
