Japanese manga "Attack on Titans" has proved its popularity for both anime lovers and gamers that Koei Tecmo is instituting the series to consoles. The action game developed by Omega Force will be entitled "Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom" and will make itself available to Playstation and Vita in Europe and North America this week. The announcement for Western localization was made at Gamescom 2016.

According to Hisashi Koinuma, Koei Tecmo president, and CEO, the core idea of the "Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom is to carry a very collaborative experience of the anime's initial season. Simultaneously, it gives a bit extra of something. The story itself takes place inside the wall but at the same time discovers what was happening outside it that could only be found in the game.

Speaking of the gameplay, gamers could play as human most of the times, but since Eren could turn himself into a Titan, gamers can revel in Titan to Titan battle. As with any game, characters can be leveled up during progression and weapons can be upgraded. Up to four people can play the game and collaborate online because of the multi-player co-op mode. Gamers can collect elements and Titan models, as reported by Push Square.

In Europe, Omega Force and Koei Tecmo's forthcoming video game will be known as "Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom". It will be shipped today, Aug. 26 and the US will have it released by Aug. 30 having the title of "Attack on Titan". The game will be released in Japanese with subtitles. For European gamers, they will receive a circumscribed "Treasure Box" edition composed of the artbook, muffler towel, six pin badges, soundtrack, and DLC for Armin's Attack on Titan: Junior High getup.
