Hollywood actor Jackie Chan helps train Bollywood actress Amyra Dastur for their upcoming action-adventure "Kung Fu Yoga." Apparently, Chan told his personal trainers to educate the Bollywood actress in perfecting her kicks and punches.
"Kung Fu Yoga" is a Chinese-Indian co-production of Shinework Media (China) and Taihe Entertainment. The film stars Chan himself and is directed by Stanley Tong.
"Jackie is a delight to work with, and yes, his trainers are helping me out with the heavy-duty stunts. I don't think there can be anyone who does martial arts better than him," says Dastur.
In an earlier report by Times of India, Dastur explains that her role in the film is a tough chic and audience will see a lot of action. Martial arts guys have been preparing the Bollywood actress for her next stunt schedule as she has been told that it will be harder than the first one.
Earlier reports claim that Ileana D'Cruz was supposed to star in the same role as Dastur but things did not work out with the filmmakers. While there were many contenders for the role, Dastur was claimed to be best fit for the role.
"Two weeks after the audition he (casting director) told me that it was for a Jackie Chan film and the makers really liked my work. I was ecstatic," says Dastur. The actress is the latest Indian export to international cinema.
"Kung Fu Yoga" also stars Sonu Sood and Aarid Rahman as a large portion of the film has already been filmed, as reported by Times of India. Dastur will join them on the next filming schedule set in China in which she is expected to have a full-fledged role. The video below shows Chan and Sood on the set of the film in Dubai.
