Now that his top-rated TV drama series “Doctors” has recently bid farewell to its avid viewers, South Korean actor Kim Rae Won assessed his working relationship with co-star Park Shin Hye and shared it in a press conference on August 26.
"I didn't feel the age difference at all. We treated each other like friends and that was the right thing do to. I tried to match with Park Shin Hye, and because I'm the sunbae, Park Shin Hye would try to match with me, asking, 'How do you want to do this?’," the 35-year-old actor stated as quoted by All Kpop.
According to the actor, his on-screen chemistry with Park turned out effective to the viewers because they strived hard to get even with each other by working hand in hand. He added that “Doctor’s” have given them the opportunity to be more adventurous in their craft and be likewise open to their co-actors.
“Acting is not something you do by yourself. I could have done a better job with Hong Ji Hong's character too, but people will not want to watch it for those reasons, and it would be useless. On that end, Park Shin Hye is very smart," said Kim.
Meanwhile, the actor revealed that the controversial kiss in the rain scene in the show come out as a mistake due to technical reasons, Soompi reports. But despite the setbacks, he expressed his gratitude to the people who became part of the drama series and added that Jo Dal Hwan’s cameo role gave the show “a lot of strength” because of his remarkable acting skill.
Kim made his debut in the entertainment industry when he became part of the teen drama “Me”. He rose to fame through the comedy-drama series “Rooftop Room Cat”.
