"Kingdom Hearts 3" rumors about the game's listing under Nintendo NX has been debunked by EB Games Australia through Twitter. A fan reportedly asked EB Games on Twitter as to whether the listing is true to which the company replied negative.
"Kingdom Hearts 3" has never been listed on the website of EB Games according to the tweet. The company also claimed that the photo that has spread on the web may have involved some Photoshop. In addition, EB Games mentioned that they never made "Kingdom Hearts 3" available so they would not have removed the listing contrary to what fans have suspected, PC Advisor reported.
The rumor stemmed from a screenshot of "Kingdom Hearts 3" under Nintendo NX coming from a Twitter fan. The said screenshot rapidly spread all over the web. The rumor came as a surprise as past "Kingdom Hearts" titles were not released to Nintendo's consoles except for "Kingdom Hearts Recoded" for the Nintendo DS and the "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance" for the Nintendo 3DS.
Meanwhile, Square Enix has not given any official statement regarding the said rumor. There is also no specific details released about the target launch date or any update on "Kingdom Hearts 3." Additionally, fans have been surprised at the fact that the developer did not showcase the highly anticipated announcement of the game at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Polygon reported.
Though "Kingdom Hearts 3" was not revealed at E3, "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" has been announced which will be out for release in Dec. 2016. Moreover, the company revealed that they are currently focusing their time on the launch of the said title before moving forward to the development of the next "Kingdom Hearts" title.
"Kingdom Hearts 2.8" storyline will be significant towards understanding the plot of "Kingdom Hearts 3." Watch the "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" preview here.
