From your tough-looking idols, 2PM is making some changes for their comeback in September a year since "No. 5" album was released. Members of the boy group are said to portray a "boyfriend image" for their upcoming album according to their agency.
In a dispatch, JYP Entertainment revealed 2PM is currently gearing up for their sixth album as it also plans to make a comeback by mid-September. "The album will show a different masculine image than their previous "beast-idol" concept," the agency said as quoted by Soompi.
Prior to the announcement, 2PM member Jun. K hinted about the boy group's comeback during the exhibit of his solo mini-album titled "Mr. No Love." According to Jun. K, "2PM is preparing for a comeback as well. You can expect us by this September or October," adding that fans should expect for an improved version of the boy group, Allkpop reported.
The South Korean boy group was formed by JYP Entertainment in 2008. 2PM is composed of members Taecyeon, Jun. K, Nichkun, Wooyoung, Junho and Chansung while Jay Park left the boy group in 2010 after his contract was permanently terminated by the agency.
In 2011, 2PM made their Japanese debut with song "Take Off." In the same year, the boy group had their concert tour in Japan called "2PM 1st Japan Tour 2011 Take Off." Since then, 2PM has been producing albums for their Japanese fans. Currently, the Kpop idols have five Japanese albums and five Korean studio albums.
Aside from working as a group, 2PM members also have their individual projects to promote. As of the moment, Taecyeon can be seen on "Bring It On, Ghost" where he plays the lead role, while Jun. K is promoting his solo mini-album.
