Meanwhile, the pop diva's family struggles especially those involving her son Rocco Ritchie have drawn attention in the media. More recently the Mirror reported that young Ritchie called off touring alongside his mother when she confiscated his mobile phone.
The super-star mum felt his phone was a source of interference for the 15-year-old who was not paying attention to his homework.
"Madonna is quite firm with Rocco and she took his phone from him when it interfered with his studies. She is stricter than Guy and Rocco does not like it. When she took the phone away, it pushed him over the edge," a source who spoke to the British publication said.
With young Ritchie unimpressed, he decided to abandon his mother on her tour and stay home with his film director father. Guy Ritchie, 47, in London.
While Madonna has custody of her son, the trouble flared last month when he refused to return to the United States in Dec. and chose to stay with his father.
Since then senior Ritchie has hired lawyers to represent his son, who claims his mother is "too controlling."
