Just less than a month since their debut on Aug. 8, BLACKPINK has been making headlines for their talent and charisma; hence, the girl group is currently enjoying the perks of prominence as many opportunities continue to pour their way.
Just recently, the four-member girl group has been tapped as the newest brand ambassadors of "Reebok Classic," according to Allkpop. As per Director Park Sung Hee, they have chosen BLACKPINK to represent their brand as they thought the girl group's image is perfect for the promotion of casual street style.
"We appointed BLACKPINK as our representative ambassadors because their tireless girl crush image, which is overflowing with confidence and charisma, is a great match with our brand. I anticipated that "Reebok Classic's" casual street style and BLACKPINK's fierce yet lovable charisma will create the perfect synergy," Park said.
Amid rising popularity of BLACKPINK, YG Entertainment revealed some of the plans they have in store for the girl group. According to a source affiliated with the agency, these plans are meant to thank fans for their all-out support towards the new girl group, Soompi reported.
"In order to repay fans' support of BLACKPINK, we are carefully considering variety appearances. However, since BLACKPINK was planned as a team that would meet fans through awesome music content from the beginning, we will focus on making good music content for now," the source said.
The source went on and revealed YG Entertainment did not expect BLACKPINK would become a hit instantly, adding that they are thankful for the good response from the fans. Aside from that, the source said BLACKPINK will soon release two new songs, noting that one of the two music videos has already been filmed by the girl group.
