EXO member Lay has definitely won the hearts of his Chinese audience after proving his versatility in acting. Just recently, the Chinese singer has been receiving praises from the viewers of "The Mystic Nine" for portraying Er Yue Hong's character effectively.
According to Soompi, a Chinese media reported many Chinese viewers commended Lay for his talent in delivering different emotions for "The Mystic Nine." For the Chinese drama, the EXO member takes the role of a traditional opera artist as the same time tomb thief.
In a recent episode, Lay melted the hearts of the audience when he encountered his wife Ya Tou in a dream. Although the scene did not include long dialogues, Lay's eyes displayed too much emotion enough to make his audience weep.
Meanwhile, fans of the EXO member expressed their support for their idol as he pursues his acting career. A fan wrote, "I want to say that as the drama progressed, so did his acting. I'm really proud of you, Lay!"
Another proof of his versatility in acting was when Lay won the Best Supporting Actor award at the China-Britain Film Festival in London for his role in "Ex-Files 2: The Backup Strikes Back," Koreaboo noted.
However, Lay failed to accept his award personally after being caught up with the promotions of their "EX'ACT" album.
