It looks like a remastered version of Rockstar Games' "Red Dead Redemption" is on the way. Rumor has it that the game will be finally available to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
A remastered version of the game is now ready but Rockstar Games has not made any official statement yet, according to the Korean game site Gamefocus. Also, version of the game for PlayStation 4 and PC localizing Korean have been confirmed, however, the Xbox One version is yet to be confirmed. It is worth noting that the original game was released with English subtitles only and a physical copy of the script translated to Korean
The remaster of the game will be announced probably this week during Sony's PlayStation meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 7, VG 24/7 reported. According to the rumors, the game is set to be release during the first half of 2017.
"Red Dead Redemption" an open world, western action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in May 2010. Set during the decline of the American Frontier in the year 1911, a former outlaw citizen John Marston, whose wife and son are taken hostage by the Bureau of Investigation in ransom for his services as a gun for hired. Left with no choice, Marston sets out bringing three members of his former gang to justice.
In 2005, Rockstar San Diego began developing "Red Dead Redemption" by a team of more than 800 people. The game runs on the proprietary Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (RAGE) which was improved for the game to improve its draw distance capabilities.
After realizing the potential power of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Rockstar felt inspired. The game's combined marketing and development budget is estimated around US $80 million and US $100 million dollar, making it one of the most expensive video games ever made.
