"Girls Generation" YoonA and actor Ji Chang Wook, stars of the upcoming action series "The K2," is set to appear on the next episode of the Korean talk show "Taxi." The show is hosted by Lee Young-ja and Oh Man-seok.
On Sept. 12, a representative of the station said that "Ji and YoonA are confirmed to appear on "Taxi." The two stars are planning to engage in filming after their press conference for "The K2" on Sept. 20, AllKpop reported.
"The K2" is an upcoming South Korean television series starring Ji, YoonA, Song Yun-ah and Jo Sung-ha. It tells the story of a bodyguard and an isolated young woman in her twenties. The show will premiere on Sept. 23 at 8:00 p.m Korea Standard Time and will air every Fridays and Saturdays.
The action series drama is being written by Jang Hyuk-rin and will be directed by Kwak Jung-hwan. Ji, will play as the male lead character and had special training as he will perform the action stunts in the series by himself.
It is reported that "The K2" have many things in common with "Descendants of the Sun," aside from being both a high budgeted drama, they also boasts a stellar cast members. The two dramas also disclose the true meaning of patriotism.
Ji, became a household name in 2010 playing the character of Dong-hae in the drama series "Smile Again." It was recently reported that Ji became the highest paid actor for a tvN drama beating actor Jeon Do Yeon in tvN's "Good Wife."
In response to these reports, Ji's agency, Glorious Entertainment, released a statement, stating "We do not want Ji's fee to become an issue. In consideration of publication rights, tvN made the arrangement to give Ji a high pay due to his involvement in other projects in Japan and China," Soompi reported.
Meanwhile, YoonA is a South Korean singer and actress and debuted as a member of the girl group "Girl's Generation" in 2007. YoonA is also a cast member in the television drama "You Are My Destiny," making her acting career breakthrough.
