After a successful run on Hulu, "The Mindy Project" season 4 ended in a cliffhanger with Mindy (Mindy Kaling) reflecting on her relationship with Danny that has been on a downfall since last two episodes.
"The Mindy Project" season 4 finale episode, titled "When Mindy Met Danny," started with a few flashback scenes wherein Mindy first met Danny (Chris Messina), who in turn tells her to don't let anyone to stop her from doing what she wants.
The last few episodes of the Hulu's hit show showed how Danny has become increasingly control-freak and wanted Mindy to leave work. While he thinks her fertility practice can take a back seat to a house full of kids, Mindy wants to keep her dream job and business.
Since the last few scenes of the finale episode showed Mindy tightily hugging Danny, it is highly anticipated that the two are likely to part ways soon. The show's vague ending wherein Mindy was taking the measures of her old apartment also led the fans to believe that she is contemplating to being back single again.
However, the first half of "The Mindy Project" season 4 was also full of some highs for Mindy. While she easily embraced the role of a working mother, she also successfully collaborated with Jody (Garrett Dillahunt) to expand her world outside Schulman & Associates. By the end of the first half of season 4, Mindy saw proudly her first patient giving birth successfully at her fertility clinic.
"The Mindy Project" season 4 episode 14's release date is yet to be announced. Fans of the show are keeping their fingers crossed regarding the fate of Mindy's love life with Danny. She already has a string of failed relationships, including ones with an attorney, a Pastor turned hip hop rapper DJ, and numerous failed attempts at finding true love.
