Rumor has it that the upcoming "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will not be a continuation of its previous season, surprising the fans. It was speculated that the new season will be introducing more threatening Titans to wipe off human race.
Following its three year delay, many predicted that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 would follow its manga series; however, it was recently reported that Season 2 will deviate from its manga counterpart and will offer its own unique story line, FX News Call reported. The story would still revolve around Eren, Mikasa, Armin and Levi together with their friends from the Survey Corp.
Another rumor circulating online is that producers of the show wanted to surprise the fans by offering something they know nothing about leading them to veer away to its manga counterpart. It is also speculated that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 might reveal the back-story of the Reiss family.
Some publications also provide some possible insights that the upcoming season will introduce new Titans, one of whom is Zeke, who, according to rumors is more intelligent among the other Titans giving Eren a tight match once they meet face-to-face. The other one is the Ape-like Titan who has the power of speed and strength who will possibly create desolation and potential death to the Survey Corp.
As Season 1 did not reveal much about the back story of the Titans and how those residing inside the wall become prisoners, the upcoming season will reveal more of the history of the walls and why there are Titans sleeping inside the walls, Yibada has learned. Another speculation for the upcoming season is that Survey Corp's 13thcommander Erwin Smith might be feature revolting together with the people against the Wall's king only to discover that the leader is just a pawn to disguise the true rulers of the wall.
"Attack on Titan" Season 2 is reported to be released in February 2017, although, it has not been confirmed yet.
