"Jane the Virgin" has enlists Gloria and Emilio Estefan to guest star in Season 3. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Michael's fate will be revealed by the end of the new season's premiere episode.
Cuban-American musicians Gloria and Emilio Estefan have boarded the cast of "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. According to Entertainment Weekly, the longtime couple will appear as themselves in the new season's third episode. The storyline will see Gloria and Estefan emerging on Jane's world when Rogelio enlists for their help as he tries to adapt a Latin telenovela for American audiences.
The news of the Estefan's arrival on "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 comes after Eva Longoria's directorial stint on the show has been reported. The "Desperate Housewives" and "Telenovela" actress is set to helm the third episode titled "Chapter Forty-Seven." It is the same hour where the Estefans are expected to drop-by.
In addition to A-list guest stars, "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will also answer a burning question fans have been dying to know. TV Guide reported that the fate of Michael, who's life hangs in the balance after being shot in Season 2's finale, will be addressed before the new season premiere ends. While this is the case, it was also previewed that Jane's new mother-in-law will be a new source of headache for the lead character.
"Jane's most pressing problem might come from her new mother-in-law, whose presence in Miami won't make things easier for Jane in her time of need," the publication wrote.
"Not even shared grief is enough to bring them together, and the two will butt heads as they struggle to pick up the pieces."
"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 premieres on Monday, Oct. 17 at 9PM on the CW.
