The rivalry and mind games between Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson is about to reach its climax in "The Fall" Season 3.Series creator Allan Cubitt dropped hints about what the future holds for the series.
In Season 2, the question on everyone's mind was whether or not Paul Spectator (Dornan) survived the shooting. The answer is in the affirmative since the actor is slated to reprise his character in the upcoming season.
Season 3 will pick up immediately from the shooting and will reportedly end in a terrifying conclusion. Therefore, fans are worried that after the climax of the cat-and-mouse chase, the series will be done for.
In an interview, series creator broke his silence and said that, "it's not the end of The Fall necessarily," Digital Spy reported.
Speaking about the series, Cubitt went to say that the show went on a very exciting journey over the last five years and praised the actors for their stellar performances. If it is any indication on whether or not the series will have Season 4, he said:
"Obviously I don't want to give anything away about how the third series will end but I can say that I am looking forward to working with both Gillian and Jamie again in the near future," Deadline reported.
"The Fall" is a BBC crime drama series that follows Metropolitan Police Superintendent Stella Gibson (Anderson) who is tasked in bringing a loose serial killer in Police custody. The title is a reference to the line "Falls the shadow" in T.S. Eliot's "The Hollow Men."
