"Blindspot" Season 2 returns on NBC this week. The new season finally reveals new clues about the mysterious Jane Doe who was found in Times Square, New York in Season 1.
Her identity is finally revealed in Blindspot" Season 2. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, writer and producer of the series, Martin Gero, unveiled her true identity, which he and his team have planned since the beginning.
"We've known what this stuff is, we've known obviously who Jane is, we've known about Sandstorm, we knew about Roman pretty early in the series, and we knew Shepherd was the leader," Gero said. "Long story short, we've been planning this from the beginning."
Jane Doe's real name is Alice Kruger and she was trained to become an operative in a terrorist organization "Sandstorm." Shepherd is her adopted mother, and she is actually a mastermind and leader of Sandstorm.
In another interview with Hollywood Reporter, Gero said that he and the team had come up with the idea of terrorist organization for quite long time, but they haven't had the name for the organization yet. The name 'Sandstorm' came up later, which was suggested by one of the writer.
Jaimie Alexander returns to play Jane Doe aka Alice Kruger. While Luke Mitchell and Michelle Hurd plays her brother Roman and adopted mother Shepherd. The premiere of "Blindspot" Season 2 picked the previous season finale when Jane escaped from CIA torture room, as the head of NSA secret department Nas (Archie Panjabi) came up with a plan to use her in bringing down Sandstorm.
"Blindspot" is a crime story about a mysterious woman who was found naked with a full body tatto in Times Square, New York and losing her memories. FBI took her into custody to investigate and reveal her identity. She appears to be a military personnel with a very high combat skills.
