South Korean superstars Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun became the headline topic of one of the prominent newspapers in Spain as they film their upcoming TV drama series “The Legend of the Blue Sea.”
According to All Kpop, the Hallyu stars were news headline of the Daily Girona (Diari de Girona), a Catalan daily newspaper, based in Girona, Catalonia in Spain. They were presented as Korean stars who dominated the whole city.
Some of the drama series’ behind the scene images were also revealed by the newspaper. In one of the shots, the love team was wearing matching long-sleeved shirts as Lee is holding Jun’s hand.
Lee and Jun flew to Spain to film “The Legend of the Blue Sea” on Sept. 11. In August, they were also scheduled to travel to Palau to shoot several scenes for the series, Soompi reported.
Directed by the renowned Korean director and written by Park Ji Eun, “The Legend of the Blue Sea” unfolds the fantasy romance story of mermaids based on Korea’s first historical storybook. In the series, Jun portrays the role of the mermaid Shim Chung while Lee plays the role of a merman named Heo Joon Jae (also known as Kim Dam Lim).
Other cast members include Lee Hee Joon, Shin Hye Sun, Moon So Ri, and Shin Won Ho. “The Legend of the Blue Sea” is set to be aired on November Wednesday and Thursday in SBS taking over "Jealousy Incarnate."
