Fans have enjoyed the epic fantasy world of "The Elder Scrolls" series. Now, after Skyrim, they hope for another title in the epic saga. Unfortunately, that may not be the case - not anytime soon.
According to Express, Bethesda's vice president Pete Hines seems to be working on two major projects, but doesn't seem to mention any of them being an "Elder Scrolls" game. As fans took it upon themselves to ask the game company VP, he mentioned that "The studio is working on what they want to work on. They have other plans before they get to 'The Elder Scrolls 6.'"
Hines also confirmed that the two succeeding Gamescom events will not be announcing any news on the sixth installment of "The Elder Scrolls." Breathe Cast had an earlier report that mentioned the possibility of 2019 being the release date of the game.
To further that claim, fans speculated that since Bethesda has had a habit of releasing their games every four years, the sixth game would be released on that year. They were hoping that 2016 would be the year they'll see "The Elder Scrolls 6," since "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" was released in 2011. However they eventually got "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" instead, which means the sixth game is believed to be coming out on 2019.
Other rumors also claim that the next game might be the last "Elder Scrolls" game.
It might take a while before any game on the RPG series might have announcement or two, at least. As of now, fans will have to enjoy the titles in the franchise first.
