"NCIS New Orleans" will introduce a new agent in Season 3. This new member will be played by "Graceland" alum, Vanessa Ferlito - who according to a report is hiding something dark about her past.

Furlito's character, Agent Tammy Gregorio, is an FBI Special Agent tasked to join the "NCIS New Orleans" team to fill the void of Agent Brody. But beneath her badassery and no-nonsense approach to combatting crime, viewers will later find out that Gregorio is hiding something dark linked to her past.

"Around Episode 5, you'll start to see a vulnerable side to her," Ferlito recently revealed to TV Guide.

"Her weakness is this burden she carries from her past. It's really bad. She feels responsible that many people suffered as a result of something she was involved with."

Aside from playing Agent Charlie DeMarco on USA Network's "Graceland," Ferlito also showed her acting chops on hit movies such as "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," "Julie and Julia," and "Spider-Man 2." On TV, she made guest appearances on "The Sopranos," "CSI Miami" and "CSI NY."

As revealed in the official plot synopsis, viewers will see Agent Gregorio arriving to New Orleans to investigate Agent Pride and the team's operations. Titled "Aftershocks," the Season 3 premiere will also find the team tracking a sniper who target crowded events in the city.

"NCIS New Orleans" also stars Scott Bakula, Lucas Black, Rob Kerkovich, Daryl Mitchell, Shalita Grant and CCH Pounder. Season 3 premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 10PM on CBS.
