2K Games returns once again with more Civ news on the upcoming "Sid Meier's Civilization VI." This time players will be given a sneak peak on one of mankind's earliest civilization, Sumeria, and its leader Gilgamesh.

According to the official "Civilization VI" blog, historians say that Gilgamesh was known as the hero of one of mankind's earliest known work of literature. He was glorified to be one-third man and two-thirds god, with extraordinary feats to boast of. It was also argued by scholars that the god king was, in fact, a real person in actual history, who lived in between 2800 and 2500 BC. Based on the Sumerian King List, Gilgamesh actually ruled the city of Uruk for 126 years.

Now going to the gameplay aspects, the Civilization of Sumeria possesses an ability called "Epic Quest," which allows players to get a Tribal Village reward after capturing a barbarian outpost. This is useful especially during the first few stages of game progression in a campaign.

The Sumerians also have a unique unit called the War Cart. Considered an effectively strong unit, it doesn't bear any penalties from the Spearmen or any anti-Cavalry units. It also gains advantage in an open field by having extra movement.

Heading over to the structural side, Sumeria also boasts of having the Ziggurat. When built adjacent to the river, the building provides Science and Culture. However, it cannot be built on a hill.

Now, for Gilgamesh, he has a unique ability called "Adventures with Enkidu," which shares the pillage rewards and combat experience to an ally within five tiles when fighting in a joint battle.

Sumerian Civilization begins with the War Carts and the Ziggurat, giving players a strong start in the game. The Ancient Era grants the "Foreign Trade" feature which opts players to diplomatically offer a Joint War. With this feature, other nations will benefit from being allies with Sumeria.

In other news, publisher 2K Games was grateful for the fans' patience in a Steam community post as they tested "a variety of systems to ensure 'Civilization VI' is as optimized as it can be." They were able to post details on "Civilization VI's" requirements, which are shown here:
