Due to a sudden bone infection, South Korean actor Ji Soo has recently submitted himself to a surgical procedure and is currently receiving a medical treatment in the hospital. However, despite his condition, the star momentarily left the health institution to continue filming his TV drama series “Fantastic.”

In a statement released by Ji’s talent management agency Prain TPC, the actor was permitted by his attending physicians to continue shooting his part on “Fantastic.” In spite of this, the company cannot confirm yet if the star has fully recovered.

“The producers were very considerate of Ji Soo's situation and adjusted the filming schedule according to Ji Soo. He was able to join filming for several scenes without overworking himself, and because he's young, his recovery speed is quite fast. He also has a strong will to return to filming. He will continue to participate without overworking himself," the agency stated as quoted by All Kpop.

On Sept. 13, Prain TPC revealed Ji’s condition to the public, making his fans worried of his well-being. According to the label, the “Angry Mom” star has received surgery for acute osteomyelitis or inflammation of bone or bone marrow.

Meanwhile, Ji was recently featured in tvN’s variety program “My Ear’s Candy” along with his friends Nam Joo Hyuk, Shin Jae Ha, and Kim Yoo Han, Soompi reports. In fact, the stars were dubbed as the “New F4 in town.”

Ji started his entertainment career in 2009 after appearing in several short films. He later rose to fame after portraying the role the troubled teenager Go Bok Dong in the television drama "Angry Mom."
