Uma Thurman joins the cast in Bravo Greenlight's third scripted drama series "My So Called Wife." She will appear as a guest star in several episodes.
According to Variety, Thurman will play the ultimate fixer Lenny Cohen in "My So Called Wife." She is the lethal, articulate, and mysterious woman. She is the only person for the job that the reclusive ring leader is looking for.
In the plot of "My So Called Wife," the leader of a group of con artists needs to hire someone who can keep his employees in line, eliminate an enemy, or whip up a world-class omelette. Thurman is being eyed by her friend and executive producer Adam Brooks since she is known for her iconic and very special talents in bringing to life unique and provocative characters like in "Pulp Fiction" and "Kill Bill."
"My So Called Wife" is about a beautiful and dangerous con artist Maddie (Inbar Lavi). Maddie makes her unsuspecting victims even more tormented when they realize that they have been used and robbed of everything, including their hearts. Things get complicated when her latest victims Ezra (Rob Heaps) and Richard (Parker Young) try to track her down just as she eyes her next mark, Patrick (Stephen Bishop).
Alongside Brooks, "Girlfriends Guide to Divorce" star Paul Adelstein is executive producing "My So Called Wife," as Deadline reported. Bravo first scripted TV series is the one-hour dramedy "Girlfriends Guide to Divorce," which has been renewed for Season 5 and will end after the said season. The second TV series is the half-hour scripted comedy series "Odd Mom Out" that Jill Kargman co-wrote and starred.
"My So Called Wife" was greenlit this March. It is currently in production in Vancouver and is scheduled to premiere next year with a 10-episode season. Universal Cable Productions is the studio.
