"Nurse Jackie" star Betty Gilpin will reprise her role as Fiona Helbron on "Elementary" Season 5. In other developments, an upcoming episode of the CBS drama will find Sherlock being kidnapped.

A familiar face is returning on Sherlock's orbit on "Elementary" Season 5. Gilpin, who was introduced last season as Sherlock's love interest, is set to resurface this fall for at least one episode, Entertainment Weekly reported. Details on Fiona's return are still being kept under wraps, but fans should not rule out the possibility of her reigniting a past relationship with Sherlock.

"We certainly owe a status report for the Sherlock/Fiona relationship," executive producer Rob Doherty told the publication.

"In the first few episodes there won't be much mention of her, but we are working on a return for Betty Gilpin. Fiona is a thread that we won't let dangle too long, especially considering how much we love Betty."

Gilpin's recent TV credits include "Masters of Sex," "The Mysteries of Laura" and "The Walker." She will be next seen on the upcoming Starz series, "American Gods" starring Gillian Anderson and Ian McShane.

In other "Elementary" news, viewers will find Sherlock being abducted by a local gang on next Sunday's episode titled "Worth Several Cities." As revealed in the official plot synopsis, a gang leader will order the kidnapping of Holmes to force him to locate the person responsible for a hit on his men. While captured, he and Watson will get involved in an international hunt to recover a centuries-old artifact.

Elsewhere, Watson will mull over a personal favor from Shinwell.

"Elementary" stars Jonny Lee Miller, Lucy Liu, Aidan Quinn Jon Michael Hill and Nelsan Ellis. Season 5 airs every Sunday at 10PM on CBS.
