In the wake of the left and right launching of different gadgets and devices from different tech companies, ASUS, the third largest notebook manufacturer worldwide held its own press release called the "Zenvolution." The company announced the details and dates of shipments several new products, such as ZenBook 3 notebook, ZenFone 3 smartphone, ZenWatch 3 and Transformer 3.
Starting off with ZenBook 3, HotHardware cited the notebook having a 12.5-inch display of 1080p and is overlaid in Gorilla Glass 4. It has storage options of 256GB SATA SSD or a 512GB PCIe SSD with a 16GB of LPDDR3 which can be incorporated. The device runs on Core i7-7500U and i5-7200U Kaby Lake processors and weighs only two pounds with a slender 11.9mm profile. Other significant features include the single USB 3.1 Type-C port, 40Wh lithium-polymer battery, Harman Kardon quad speakers and quad speakers.
ASUS also released four types of ZenFone 3 smartphones; ZenFone 3 Deluxe 5.7, ZenFone 3 Deluxe 5.5, ZenFone 3 Deluxe 5.7 Special Edition, and ZenFone Laser. The Deluxe 5.7-inch Special Edition together with the Deluxe devices runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 or 820 processors with 256 GB or 64GB storage capacity with a 6GB RAM. These two devices boast of 23MP ASUS PixelMaster 3.0 cameras and Super AMOLED displays, according to Forbes.
Moreover, the 5.5-inch ZenFone 3 Deluxe runs on a Snapdragon 625 chip along with a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage capability. The device is built with an FHD IPS display together with a 16MP camera. Lastly, the ZenFone 3 Laser likewise comes with an IPS display (1080) and run by Snapdragon 430 chip. It has 32GB of storage capability and a 2GB RAM.
ASUS also launched, this time, a smartwatch that comes in a circular design. It is built with a 316L stainless steel and is available in Rose Gold, Silver, and Gunmetal. The case has a thickness of 9.95mm thick and has a display of 1.39-inch AMOLED 400x400 in a curved 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. The wrist strap comes in rubber or Italian leather which is available in colors of dark brown or beige.
Lastly, the tech company also launched a family of ASUS 2-in-1 hybrid convertibles and tablets. The Transformer 3 Pro could compete with Microsoft Surface Pro running on a sixth generation Core i7-6500U processor. It has a 12.6-inch 2880×1920 display, 512GB PCIe SSD, and 16GB RAM. It is equipped with Harmon Kardon Audio and braces ASUS Universal Dock via its USB 3.1 Thunderbolt Type-C port. It also includes a full-sized HDMI port, USB 3.0 Type-A port, USB 3.1 Type-C port, Ethernet port, VGA port, and 3-in-1 SD card reader. The device comes with a kickstand, ASUS Pen stylus, and a removable backlit keyboard cover.
The Transformer 3 Mini comes with a 10.1-inch display and a 2-in-1 convertible detachable keyboard cover weighing 1.75 lbs. The device is built in accordance to Intel Atom Core x5-8350 CPU. It has a 128GB of eMMC storage and 4GB RAM. The tablet is equipped with a fingerprint reader and a microSD card slot for additional storage of up to 512GB. The Transformer 3 Mini comes along with an ASUS Stylus Pen together with the keyboard cover.
Lastly, the ZenPad S3 10 is a straight-up Android slate that measures 10 inches and established on a MediaTek 8176 Turbo 6-core SoC, with a storage capacity of 64GB and 4GB RAM. It has a display of 2048X1536 QXGA resolution while boarded on 802 11ac. It's Bluetooth 4.2 and Micracast support provides connectivity and with a battery of 5900 mAh, ASUS declared that the ZenPad S3's operation will last up to 10 days.
Regarding the price, the ASUS ZenBook for UX390UA-XH74- BL is retailed at $1,599 while the UX390UA-DH51-GR has manufacturer's retail price at $1,099. Both are available at the ASUS Store and other leading retailers. The ASUS ZenWatch 3 has a manufacturer's price of $229 and will be available by early November at the same store.
