After being successful with "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," CD Projekt RED has set its eyes on another upcoming game that's far from the fantasy world of "The Witcher" series, the sci-fi futuristic world of "Cyberpunk 2077." With some news lately, it looks like game will even be bigger by including a "massive" city living and a seamless multiplayer experience.

It was reported in an article from Kill Screen the "The Witcher" company started requesting for funds to aid them in creating a complex technology for the upcoming "Cyberpunk 2077" game. This is reportedly supposed to allow players to live in a massive city playable in real time.

Of course, the feature will have some limits that include some rules, automation, and AI. But the way the game will be played supports the "innovative processes and tools for top-notch open-world games." It seems like a promising feature that company will provide in the genre of open-world games.

CD Projekt RED has also requested additional financial support to develop a seamless multiplayer experience for "Cyberpunk 2077." The multiplayer feature will let its players search for opponents (or friends), manage games and access and manage different game modes, something similar to Ubisoft's "Watch Dogs" games with its multiplayer modes.

According to VG 24/7, this is the first time that CD Projekt RED has considered making a multiplayer feature that's outside of "The Witcher" games. It may be possible, however, that all of these features may not present in the final game due to them being unfeasible - or even donations being rejectd. But knowing how the company has succeeded with "The Witcher" games with only limited resources, it may be possible that this would be breakthrough not just for CD Projekt's games but even for the open-world RPG genre as a whole.
