The CW's zombie drama, "iZombie," has cast "The Originals" actor Jason Dohring in Season 3.

According to TV Line, the actor will play Chase Graves, the brother-in-law of Season 3 antagonist, Vivian Stoll. Set to debut in "iZombie" Season 3 episode 8 (titled "Eat a Kinevel"), Dohring's character will be introduced in the new season as an existing member of the Filllmore Graves hierarchy. It is unclear if he will stick around for more episodes to do scenes with co-star Andrea Savage (Stoll).

Dohring joins previously announced guest star, Natalie Alyn Lind (The Goldbergs) who will play an entitled bratty girl who plays an important role in Liv and Clive's investigation into her best friend's murder.

As for Rose McIver's brain-eating protagonist, Liv, she will be taking on more interesting personalities on "iZombie" Season 3. Back in July, McIver announced in San Diego's Comic Con panel that Liv will be consuming the brains of a dominatrix in the new installment. There's also word that the series will offer a Law & Order-esque storyline.

"Liv and Clive are going to solve a case in one episode, and then Peyton is going to then prosecute it in the following episode and find out there's more to it than it seems," executive producer and creator Rob Thomas said in an earlier report from TV Line.

"iZombie" follows the story of Liv Moore, a zombified medical examiner who eats the brains of murder victims and uses her visions to track down the identity of the killer. The series also stars Malcolm Goodwin, Robert Buckley, David Anders, Rahul Kohli and Aly Michalka.

"iZombie" Season 3 is slated to return sometime in 2017 on the CW.
