Matt Murdock's character "Daredevil" and Frank Castle's character "The Publisher" might be filming a cameo in the "Jessica Jones" Season 2. The powerful series is returning on Netflix next year.

There have been reports that Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Castle (Jon Bernthal) will be making a cameo in "Jessica Jones" Season 2. Murdock might be the one to hunt Castle to ensure that he does not kill more people.

"Jessica Jones" Season 2 will give more focus on the backstory of the main character Jessica Jones' (Krysten Ritter). It will also give emphasis on how she will move forward to her present situation when her longtime nemesis Kilgrave (David Tennant) is gone.

Executive producer Melissa Rosenberg shed a little light on her hopes for "Jessica Jones" Season 2. She said that she wants to continue with Jones character because she is much damaged and the damage goes beyond Kilgrave. She added that there are still a lot to be mined in Jones' backstory and present day situation.

Rosenberg hinted that there might be several antagonists in "Jessica Jones" Season 2. Many are wondering who will be the next villain since Kilgrave is already out of the picture. Will Castle be one of them?

Rosenberg admitted that coming up with a new villain to follow Kilgrave in "Jessica Jones" Season 2 was both intimidating and exciting to think of. She did not consider keeping him around in Season 1 since the story was about Jessica's arc. Everything had to be in service to Jones' journey.

Rosenberg intends to continue utilizing story ideas from Brian Michael Bendis' series of "Alias" comics wherein "Jessica Jones" debuted, Variety reported. She said that she will always use much from the comic book.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rosenberg is already developing "Jessica Jones" Season 2. However, the upcoming season will have to wait until after the 2017 premiere of "The Defenders." Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) will join forces in the mashup miniseries.

"Jessica Jones" Season 2 is being pushed back to 2018 because Netflix decided to prioritize "Luke Cage" just streamed on Sept. 30 and "Iron Fist" scheduled for a 2017 release.
