"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is set to mark a beginning for the Star Wars franchise. The release of the film's supercut of combined international and domestic trailers has sizzled fans with the finished product --- a six minute sneak peek of the upcoming film.

The new Star Wars film will be the first to shy away from the episodic format of the film. The film will be the launching pad for the Star Wars new anthology which is still set in the franchise's universe. It will also mark the first time that fans will get a new Star Wars movie in back-to-back years per report by Screen Rant.

According to the same report, "Rogue One" will break away from the episodic story just barely and tell the tale of the group of rebels responsible for stealing the plans for the Death Star that Leia is in possession of at the beginning of "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope". The release of its final trailer elated many fans has received enormously positive reactions.

The impressive supercut which contains combined footage so far released by Disney and Lucasfilm was released by Science vs. Cinema Youtube channel. The video released was an incredibly well put together supercut, and is a perfect culmination of the footages which were so far released for the film. It not only builds throughout, but the simple ability of meshing the score together throughout is in fact very impressive.

The supercut showed just how much of this story will revolve around Jyn Erso played by actress Felicity Jones, who just starred in Dan Brown's recent film "Inferno". The iconic Darth Vader will only a lurking presence and was barely a focus of any of the marketing releases, which made fans hopeful that his best moments are going to be saved for the theaters to blow audiences away.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will hit theaters on December 16, 2016 in the US which will be followed by "Star Wars: Episode VIII" on December 15, 2017. On the other hand, the Han Solo Star Wars Anthology film is scheduled on May 25, 2018, "Star Wars: Episode IX" in 2019, and the third Star Wars Anthology film in 2020.
